Leading up to the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout, MHealthy Tobacco Consultation Service will host the panel discussion, “Social Justice and Tobacco Control: Impact on Underserved Populations,” featuring experts in the field of tobacco treatment, policy, and control.
This event is open to all on campus and increases community awareness of:
- Tobacco industry practices that target underserved populations, such as minority groups, the LGBTQ community, low income communities, and others
- Tobacco-related health disparities in underserved communities
- What can be done to help reduce inequities
